
- Govt inaugurates 25-man set up committee
Forward of the April 5 coronation, Oyo State Government yesterday inaugurated a 25-man committee for the brand new Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, because the forty sixth Alaafin of Oyo.
The coronation, in accordance with the federal government, will happen at Olivet Baptist Excessive Faculty, Oyo.
Commissioner for Native Authorities and Chieftaincy Issues, Otunba Ademola Ojo, performed the inauguration of the set up committee yesterday on the convention room of the ministry.
The commissioner stated the event adopted the official presentation of the employees and certificates of workplace to Oba Owoade by Governor Seyi Makinde on January 13.
He stated the set up committee had been damaged down into sub committees for efficient coordination and planning in the direction of a clean coronation.
The newly shaped committee includes members from the Alaafin’s palace, Oyo State Authorities and different key stakeholders. Their mandate contains organising a coronation that honours the wealthy cultural heritage of Oyo kingdom.
Members of the set up committee embody Commissioner for Native Authorities/Chieftaincy Issues, Ademola Ojo, Commissioner for Price range, Prof Musibau Babatunde, Prince Dotun Oyelade (Commissioner for Data and Orientation), Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun (Commissioner for Tradition and Tourism), Prince Abiodun Owoade, Prince Adeniyi Owoade, Chairman ALGON, Sikiru Sanda and the Chairman, Atiba Native Authorities.
Others are: Government Assistant (Safety) to the Governor, CP Sunday Odukoya, Director Normal Protocol, Otunba Gboyega Badejo, Salami Akeem, (Chairman, Oyo West), Olufemi Aikomo (Afijio Council Chairman), Government Chairman, Oyo East Native Authorities and Dr. Ganiyu Ajayi.
