The Rural Electrification Company (REA) managing director, Abba Aliyu has mentioned Jigawa State has the potential to immediately electrify 1 million  customers utilizing photo voltaic mini-grids. 

This, in line with him, would catalyze socioeconomic progress and funding alternatives within the State.

He made this recognized in Abuja whereas delivering the REA’s data-driven insights on the Jigawa State Electrical energy Market to the state governor, Umar Namadi.
